a world of ice

The dogs and I ventured out this evening for a look at
the damage caused by two days of freezing rain...

Not bad considering.

We're very thankful (and surprised) to still have power.

 Sweet old Buster and Huck...

Here's a giant Spencer among a sea of icebergs...

Keep warm everybody!
And if the weather is above 65 where you live -
I don't want to hear about it. ;)

We are actually getting some cold weather here in Louisiana. It is 31 degrees at the moment, and we have been seeing sleet and freezing rain all day. The weather report says it will get even colder over the next 24 hours. Brrr!

It's been quite amazing hasn't it? I'm so surprised we didn't loose power as well...we have extremely touch lines. A few years ago, we lost power nearly five times in the same winter...and we just went through this monster storm and we had electricity the entire time...I don't get it, but am so thankful.
And I assume I or rather we'll get to see the finished sweater... :)

I have to agree Margaret - these power companys aren't very predictable! We sometimes lose power over just a few inches of rain...ridiculous. :) And - the sweater's for Etsy; so I'll probably post a photo or two... :)

Wow! It looks like you got some storm there! I love your pictures. It doesn't look like you have that much snow though. We have somewhere around 3-4, maybe 5, feet here. The snow has been coming pretty steady since the first big storm this year, which was (I think) the first or second week of Jan. Almost every week since then has had some snow, and usually at least 4 inches.

I hope that was all intelligible. =)

Well, since it is above 65 here, I won't mention the weather!

I guess I can say that we are getting ready to take Fairlight for a dip in the lake. I wonder if my short sleeve shirt will be too hot to wear on the walk down to the lake.

Oh well, I have to go; there is so much to do outside in this, ah, nice area!
